Paris

Blog 1, Paris.. Writing down these words make me laugh. if someone would have told me last year that around this time I would start to write a blog and also to publish it… well lets just say, I would not have believed them. Starting this website and see my work as a photographer taking shape wasn’t easy and took a lot of time. Imaging starting a blog! But the more I thought about it, the more it started to make sense. I see it more as short series of work. Can be a trip, a series of images of a random afternoon shooting or a body of work of a specific topic. This images make more sense to be viewed and enjoyed tighter at once, instead of random pictures posted on social media. So lets get started.

In the last two years I travelled to Paris three times. I took me actually 37 years to travel to Paris. I still don’t know why it took so long. It became one of my favorite cities I have visited. The long walking through the city the whole day is also very much needed: the 20.000 steps compensate for the amount of food I ate during my stays. I think it’s time to talk and show some images I created, before this blog turns into the journal I never had..

On my first visit I brought my small Sony A6000. This camera takes beautiful images but I kept thinking I needed a full frame Canon. Maybe also my tripod for some long exposures! On my last trip we travelled by train and I brought my full kit. It wasn’t for long and I realized this was a mistake. Sweat started to appear on my forehead and let’s say my mood wasn’t at peak high. Anyway on my last day in Paris I walked around with my heavy bag pack and took the picture of the Eifeltower. If I will bring it again.. not sure.

Hope you enjoy!
